The price follows the scope of the work, not the number of pages.

These are the same figures you would get in a quote. There is no hidden price list and no price invented on the spot based on how your firm looks.

The frame

Five levels, so we know what we are talking about.

Before the numbers, the split I use in every conversation. It explains why two sites with the same page count do not cost the same.

  1. 01

    Level 1, presence

A one page or small informational site, basic contact and an SEO foundation.

  2. 02

    Level 2, source of enquiries

Several service pages, a clear path to an enquiry, forms, and measurement of where enquiries come from.

  3. 03

    Level 3, authority

A wider structure of services and products, content blocks, local pages, a gallery and richer interactions.

  4. 04

    Level 4, sales and operations

Shop, bookings, configurator, a customer or admin panel, automations and integrations.

  5. 05

    Level 5, platform

A system with several clients and roles, subscriptions, custom workflows and integrations over an API.

A level is not a quality grade but scope and business function. For a smaller firm Level 2 is more often the better choice than an unnecessarily expensive Level 5, and I will say so even when Level 5 is the bigger job for me.

Building a site

Four packages, picked by the job.

These are entry prices, so each figure is a starting point. What raises and lowers them is further down the page.

  • Economy

    from BAM 500

For whomAnyone who needs one page that works and plans nothing beyond it.

ScopeA single landing page on WordPress. Hosting and the domain stay with you and are not included.

    Durationunder 7 days

  • Launch

    from BAM 1,200

For whomA firm that needs a tidy presence and one clear point of contact.

ScopeOne page or up to three simple pages, basic measurement and an SEO foundation.

    Duration1 to 2 weeks

  • Most often chosen

    Growth Website

    from BAM 2,200

For whomA firm whose site should bring enquiries, not merely exist.

ScopeFive to eight pages, a service structure, local SEO and conversion tracking.

    Duration2 to 3 weeks

  • Authority Website

    from BAM 3,500

For whomA firm with several services or products and serious competition.

ScopeEight to fifteen pages, a first content block, a calculator or another custom interaction.

    Duration4 to 5 weeks

Economy is the entry option and it is deliberately the smallest: one page, with no system around it. If you need the site to bring enquiries, start at Launch. Economy solves presence, not growth.

The clock starts when the material arrives, not when the contract is signed. That is the only part of the deadline outside my hands, and the only reason one ever slips.

Prices do not include VAT

Partnership

The same site, a smaller entry cost.

For those who cannot pay a deposit for the whole build. It is not a cheaper version of the work but a different way of paying for the same work.

SetupBAM 500 to 800

plus

Per monthBAM 650for at least 12 months

  • A Growth Website, built to the same description as above
  • Managed hosting and technical maintenance
  • Up to two small changes a month
  • One new optimised page or piece of content a month
  • Enquiry tracking and a short monthly report

Ending it before the term is up

  • In the first six months

    BAM 1,400 to 1,700

The site is already built and handed over, so you pay the difference up to the full build price of the Growth Website package, less the setup you paid at the start.

  • From month seven to month twelve

less every month, down to zero

You only pay the part of that difference the instalments have not covered yet. Every payment reduces it, and after the twelfth it is zero.

This is the only charge for ending early. The remaining instalments are not billed. Everything paid for and built up to that point stays yours, and the domain is in your name anyway.

After 12 payments the site is fully yours, and you either move to Care or continue with Growth.

An existing site

When we are not starting from scratch.

Six ways of working on a site that already exists, from the smallest to the largest.

  • Audit and action plan

A review of usability, SEO, speed and technical problems, with an ordered list of priorities.

    BAM 250 to 600

  • A new page

Structure, design, development, form and on page SEO for a single page.

    BAM 250 to 700

  • A larger change

A new section, form, calculator, filter or integration, and a set of related changes.

    BAM 400 to 1,200

  • Partial redesign

The main screen, the navigation and the key pages, without a full rebuild.

    BAM 1,200 to 2,800

  • Full rebuild

New architecture, design and code, carrying over the content that holds value.

    from BAM 1,800

  • Migration or rescue

A move, a speed fix or a security intervention, depending on what is found.

    BAM 400 to 1,500

For unclear or inherited code a fixed price comes only after the audit. Part of the audit fee comes off the work, and how much depends on the scope that comes out of it.

Online shop

Three levels, by what the shop actually does.

The number of products is the smallest part of it. What moves the price is variants, payments and links to what you already use.

  • Shop Starter

    BAM 3,000 to 4,000

Around twenty products, delivery, cash on delivery and bank transfer, basic shop SEO.

  • Shop Growth

    BAM 5,000 to 8,000

A larger catalogue, variants, card payments and sales measurement.

  • Shop Custom

    from BAM 8,000

Your own logic, B2B pricing, a link to stock or to a business system.

Billed separately

  • Card provider fees, which sit between you and them
  • Licences for themes, plugins and outside services
  • Entering the catalogue and writing product descriptions
  • Product photography
  • Translating the catalogue into another language

Monthly, SEO

A monthly price is defended with a list of work.

So next to each level sits what actually gets done, rather than a promise about rankings.

  • Growth SEO

Per monthBAM 600 to 900for at least six months

    One town and ordinary competition.

    • Technical review and fixes
    • One new optimised page or article a month
    • Internal linking and a Search Console review
    • A monthly report about enquiries, not only rankings
  • Growth Plus

Per monthBAM 1,000 to 1,600for at least six months

    Several towns or strong competition.

    • Everything in Growth, at a larger scale
    • Up to four articles a month
    • Local pages per town
    • Competitor tracking and a content plan set in advance

Below six months SEO is a cost without a result, so I would rather not take it on than explain later why nothing moved.

Hosting and Care

So the site runs, and somebody answers.

Hosting is a yearly cost. Care is monthly and is not compulsory alongside it.

Managed hosting, domain and SSLPer yearBAM 300 to 450

plusOptional, on top of hosting

  • Care Basic

Per monthBAM 99 to 129for at least six months

Updates, backups, monitoring and one small change a month.

  • Care Pro

Per monthBAM 199 to 249for at least six months

Everything in Basic, up to three changes, priority in the queue and a speed review every three months.

Care keeps the site alive and secure, Growth pushes it forward. Two services and two invoices, and neither replaces the other.

Panels

When you want to see the numbers, not guess them.

A panel is paid for separately because it is separate work. It is not a free extra that comes with a site.

  • Analytics Lite

    BuildBAM 400 to 800

    plus

Per monthBAM 99 to 149for at least six months

Revenue, earnings, clicks and traffic sources on one screen.

  • Admin Pro

    BuildBAM 800 to 2,000

    plus

Per monthBAM 199 to 349for at least six months

Everything in Lite, plus enquiries, orders or content, depending on how the firm works.

A panel is built per project. There is no ready made platform. The figures in existing clients' panels are their business data and do not go public.

Applications

No packages, only phases.

An app is not sold from a price list. What sits here are ranges per phase, so the order of magnitude is clear before we talk.

  • Discovery, scope and technical planBAM 750 to 1,500
  • Clickable prototypeBAM 2,500 to 5,000
  • MVP, by the scope below
  • Iterations after launch
  • Simple appBAM 8,000 to 15,000
  • Micro SaaSBAM 15,000 to 35,000
  • Business systemfrom BAM 20,000

The MVP and the iterations have no price before discovery, and that is not dodging the question but the only honest offer: the gap between the smallest and largest version of the same description is often fourfold.

How the phased approach works

Calculator

Six questions, then a rough range.

Answer in plain language, with no technical terms. The maths runs on the server, so it works even with JavaScript switched off.

Do you have a site?
How big is the job?
Do you sell online?
Do you need a panel with the numbers?
Do you need the site in another language?
Do you need a monthly arrangement?

What matters

What moves the price, in both directions.

This is the part that makes a price list worth reading. Most of these you can influence before you even send an enquiry.

Lowers the price

  • Material in order, text and images on time
  • One person who decides and answers
  • A smaller first phase, with additions later
  • Willingness to start from a proven pattern rather than from nothing

Raises the price

  • More services, each of which needs its own page
  • Copy written by me instead of supplied by you
  • Links to software you already use
  • Online sales, product variants and card payments
  • A second language and a second market
  • A short deadline that pushes other work aside

Never included

What is always paid for separately.

It applies to every package and every level, so it sits in one place instead of in small print six times.

  • Photography and buying stock images
  • Entering a large product catalogue
  • Translation and proofreading
  • Licences for themes, plugins and outside services
  • Advertising budget
  • Content you do not supply, unless we agreed that I write it

Payment

Three instalments, no surprise at the end.

The same schedule for every build package. The partnership runs monthly, as described above.

  1. 50%up front
  2. 30%when the structure is approved
  3. 20%before launch

Two rounds of revisions are included. Those are smaller changes to a finished page: text, images, spacing, small corrections.

Larger changes and anything after those two rounds are agreed and billed separately. Changing the scope mid way is not a revision but new work, and it is treated as such.

Questions

What I get asked about price.

Why not give a fixed price straight away?
For the build packages I do, and they are above. I withhold a fixed price only where it depends on what is already there: work on somebody else's code, and apps. A figure named blind would be too high for you or too low for me.
Why does somebody offer a site for BAM 500?
Because that is usually a template with the text and images swapped. It is a legitimate product and for some firms it is enough. What you do not get is a structure built around your services, copy written for your customers, measurement of where enquiries come from, and somebody who answers when it matters.
What if I only need a small change?
Then you do not need a package. Small changes go into Care, larger ones run as a development sprint. I am not going to sell you a redesign because of one form.
Can I pay in instalments?
The build runs in three instalments, as above. If even that deposit does not work, there is the partnership: a smaller setup and a monthly fee, with ownership after 12 payments.
What if I end the arrangement?
You get everything paid for and done up to that point: the site, the content, the database and the access. The domain is in your name anyway. For the partnership before the 12 months are up, you pay the part of the build the instalments have not covered yet, under the rule written next to the partnership offer itself.
Do I have to host with you?
You do not. If the site already sits somewhere and runs, I can do Care alone. I offer managed hosting because then I answer for the whole chain rather than only for my part.

Next step

A price without context does not say much.

Send the site address or a description of the job. I will say which range it falls into and what I would do first, before anyone pays for anything.
